Meet the Galloways
Ron and Nancy met while attending Christ For the Nations Bible School in Dallas, Texas in the early eighties. They were married in 1983 here in Milledgeville at The Assembly of God. They have two sons (Brandon & Alex) and four grandchildren (Spencer, Lydia, Everly & Easton.) In their spare time, they have movie nights with their grands to include homemade quesadillas and popcorn, and they are active members of their church, Grace Point Assembly.
The Galloway’s grew in the flooring business together, so it’s only fitting that this chapter of their lives be running their own business. From part-time work at Carpet Surplus, to learning the ins-and-outs of sales
and installations, to partaking in nationwide flooring conventions to broaden each of their skill sets, to Nancy managing the front-end of Flooring America while Ron managed the warehouse, they are well schooled in the industry. They were faced with a tough decision to make in 2017 when the store they’d grown with was being sold. Through many sleepless nights and even more prayers, Ron and Nancy decided it was time to take the biggest leap of faith they’d ever imagined: opening Galloway’s Floor Décor. Each year they have been voted “Milledgeville’s Best Flooring Store” in the Union
Recorder’s annual Reader’s Choice Awards! This is no small feat.
The “family” aspect of Galloway’s Floor Décor is one that touches each customer. The expertise between Nancy, Ron, and all their staff are the cherry on top of the perfect “flooring sundae” that they serve. Each of these combined with offering quality flooring is why the customers of Galloway’s Floor Décor know that they’re dealing with “the best” when walking through their doors.
Nancy Galloway, Owner
Born in Wisconsin to a family with twelve siblings, Nancy has always had a Christ-centered heart that beat to the love of family. She first began her venture into the flooring industry in Milledgeville in 1985. She started part-time at Carpet Surplus, and the owner (Darrell Black) realized he’d struck gold in his new hire. Nancy eventually became full-time, gaining experience on all fronts of the business. Later when it became Flooring America, she managed business aspects and 10 employees plus subcontractors. During this process Nancy learned that her passion was helping people, as any customer of Galloway’s Floor Décor would vouch is still her forte.
Ron Galloway, Owner
Ron is a Milledgeville-native and has been in the flooring business since 1985. He began his career in sales at Carpet Surplus then ventured into the installation side of things with his brother Von. He installed flooring for 28 years and obtained a wealth of knowledge that continues to be a great asset. Ron became Warehouse Manager of Flooring America in 2013, which is the position he held until opening Galloway’s Floor Décor in August 2017. There are two pieces of Ron’s life that have a longer tenure than his experience in flooring: his faith in Christ and his love for Nancy.
The mission of Galloway’s is to “exceed our customer’s expectations at every stage of their flooring project.” Ron and Nancy have assembled a knowledgeable staff that is dedicated to the company’s core values of providing quality products and excellent service. We hope you will visit our showroom and choose Galloway’s Floor Décor for your next flooring project
Meet The Team
Brandon was raised here in Milledgeville. He then spent the better part of a decade living in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina before he found his way back home to be closer to family. Brandon grew up right in the heart of the flooring business and started helping his dad with installations at a young age. By the time he graduated from GMC Prep School in 2003 he was managing a large warehouse. His adventures in North Carolina taught him many things in areas ranging from satellite installation & sales to closet building. His years of experience in this industry combined with additional skills acquired along the way have made him our go to guy for all things flooring!
Allison was born & raised in Southern Indiana (Go Hoosiers!) and spent about 5 years living in the mountains of Western North Carolina before finding herself here in Middle Georgia. She has an extensive background in the customer service industry with experience including restaurant management, corporate training, tech sales and acute patient care. Most of her time is spent handling the paperwork side of things, however she does enjoy popping out on the sales floor to help whenever she can!
Shayla was born and raised here in Milledgeville. Graduating from Baldwin High in 2002 she then went on to open her own clothing boutique where her love of styling flourished. She now uses that fire to help our customers style their floors, backsplashes and so much more! She truly cares about every person that comes through the door and it shines through her work. We are so grateful to have her as a part of our team! Shayla has 3 incredible children and loves spending time with friends and family in her spare time. Her motto is “as we evolve, our homes should too. Here’s to adding more beauty to this world!”
Crystal is a Milledgeville native who graduated from Baldwin High in 2003 and went on to attend Central Georgia Technical College from there. She has 3 beautiful children and 1 grandchild. She loves to adventure and go fishing in her spare time. She believes that “if you always work hard and have fun while you do it-you will be more successful!” This sentiment shines through her here at Galloway’s, she is always busy and always having a good time. Between helping customers, perfecting the showroom, and coming up with creative ideas for marketing she has become a major asset to this team!
